Anthony Torres, DDS
Dr. Anthony Torres is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He completed his undergraduate studies at Cal State University Long beach. He then went on to receive his doctoral in dental surgery at UCLA school of Dentistry. Dr. Torres continued his studies in the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial--Surgery at county hospital in Los Angeles. During the last two years of surgical residency, he was Awarded the title of chief resident. Since graduating in 1989, Dr. Torres has focused his medical and surgical skills in private practice serving the local surrounding communities. He provides a wide range of oral surgery procedures, including dentoalveolar and pathological conditions, and the reconstruction of the maxillofacial area injured by trauma, damaged by disease or affected by congenital issues. He provides bone grafts for reconstruction and augmentation for implant placement, as well as pre-prosthetic reconstruction for dentures.
Dr. Anthony Torres has been a great advocates and one of the first users in the field of oral surgery to use the newer modality of treatment of Platelet-richPlasma, (PRP},-for-faster healing, less swelling and a much faster recovery. Dr. Torres and his staff maintain a "Culture of Safety" in his practice to ensure patients have a safe, comfortable and successful experience under a sedation or general anesthesia. The California Board of Dental Examiners have selected Dr. Torres to become one of their agents to evaluate and examine other Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons that are requesting a license to provide general anesthesia. Dr. Torres continues to maintain, in good standing, many memberships, that include American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, Southern California Oral-facial Academy fellow, Diploma American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
